27th Lancers Kings Crown Bi-Metal Cap Badge

This capbadge was in use from 1940 until 1948. The main portion of the badge is of the standard lancer design. The elephants head is in white metal and commemorates a battle honour of the 24th Light Dragoons. Note use of "Arabic" numerals instead of Roman.
